Chya Mogerman obtained her J.D. in 2019 from the University of Victoria, and is currently completing her articles jointly between Arvay Finlay LLP and a leading boutique class action law firm.
Chya’s areas of interest include Aboriginal, environmental, and constitutional law, with a particular interest in transsystemic approached to these areas.
During her time at the University of Victoria, Chya worked as a research assistant to Professor Jeremy Webber exploring emerging trends in constitutional law. Chya also took part in an innovative four-month field course in which she collaborated with members of the W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich) First Nation to deve,op a book of W̱SÁNEĆ laws. She also participated in the University of Victoria’s Environmental Law Centre and worked closely with Professor Chris Tollefson at the Pacific Centre for Environmental Law and Litigation.
